I’m as vain as the next ink-slinger—possibly a soupçon more, let’s be honest—so I do enjoy a little self-promotion. But this time there’s an actual occasion, not just ego in a dinner jacket: the British Fantasy Society has accepted one of my pieces for its next special. The theme is war (timely, unavoidably dark), yet the great thing about fantasy wars is that nobody—strictly speaking—dies.
So, ink 20th December in your diary, and let us petition Santa for a hamper of handsome hardbacks.
